Each T-shaped frame has 176 ± 11 mg of copper wire coiled around its vertical stem with a copper collar of approximately 68.7 ± 3 mg of copper on each of its transverse arms, opaque to X-rays and an HDPE monofilament thread attached to the base of the device. The total copper surface of Spiral SMB ΤCu 380Α in the device is 380 mm²± 23 mm², it can remain inserted in the uterus for a maximum lifetime of 10 years and it is available in a package of 1 piece.
